The implementation of Turkmenistan and UNDP projects was discussed at the Ministry of Finance and Economy


Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Serdar Jorayev held a meeting with the UNDP Permanent Representative in Turkmenistan Narine Sahakyan to discuss financing and implementation of current bilateral projects.
The parties reviewed the preparation of the second Voluntary National Review of Turkmenistan on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. An international expert will arrive in Turkmenistan in the near future to assist in this issue, Sahakyan was informed.
During the discussion of the process of Turkmenistan's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), it was noted that the country's delegation held negotiations on this issue in Geneva. The UNDP Permanent Representative in Turkmenistan spoke about the assistance measures for Turkmenistan's accession to the WTO, for which a new specialist was also hired.
The meeting touched upon the financing of the project to strengthen the national potential of Turkmenistan for assessing seismic risks, preventing and responding to potential earthquakes, as well as the creation of a business register jointly with the State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan.
