The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan discussed cooperation with the GIZ project

The issues of transition to a digital system for customs operations were discussed during a meeting of representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan with the head of the regional project of the German Society for International Cooperation GIZ "Trade Facilitation in Central Asia" (TFCA) Fesilitas Zik. This is reported by the official website of the customs department of the country.
The parties discussed further steps to be taken within the framework of Turkmenistan's transition to a digital system for declaring goods, which is used in international road transport. The system is aimed at reducing the time of customs clearance, eliminating personal contacts between representatives of the declarant and customs, as well as introducing the principle of "one window".
Among the main advantages of this system is the minimization of a number of redundant operations related to the verification of documents in paper form, the reconciliation of electronic and paper copies of documents, as well as high reliability.
The project "Trade Facilitation in Central Asia" (TFCA) specializes in improving the risk management system for border control, the introduction of simplified transit procedures.
