Turkmenistan and IOM discussed the improvement of the country's migration legislation


Representatives of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan and the regional coordinator of the International Organization for Migration for Central Asian countries Zeynal Hajiyev discussed the introduction of international norms into national legislation.
During the talks, the sides noted the importance of effective implementation of migration legislation in practice and expressed readiness to actively cooperate on all initiative programs, the website of the Turkmen Migration Service reports.
Representatives of the structures also touched upon issues of strengthening peace, security and sustainable development. A special place was given to the issues of combating human trafficking, preventing various threats and other issues of a regional scale.
Following the results of the working meeting, the parties agreed to hold joint events on a regular basis.
