The presentation of the Francophonie-2023 competitions was held at the French Institute in Ashgabat
The speakers of the event familiarized the audience with the basic rules of the creative competition, which will be held in such nominations as singing, composition and oral spelling.
Persons who have reached the age of 16 can take part in the competition, and only students of universities in the country can participate in the oral spelling nomination. At the same time, candidates must be Francophones who are enrolled in French language courses or in the library of the French Institute in Ashgabat.
In the singing category, participants need to demonstrate vocal skills by accompanying a composition on the theme of time with a video.
The contest for the best essay involves the creation of a work that will need to be written at the French Institute on March 18.
Only university students studying French as a primary or second foreign language can take part in the oral spelling contest, which will be held in two rounds. During the first stage, 16 best students will be determined, the strongest among whom will be revealed in the second round. The final will be held according to the rules of one vs. one, with a direct elimination from the competition.
The final of the competition and the awarding of the winners will take place on April 1.
The International Francophonie Day is celebrated annually on March 20 and unites all French-speaking inhabitants of the planet, as well as people who study and love French.
This day marks the creation in 1970 of the International Organization for the Cooperation of the French-speaking Countries of the World (OIF), which today has 88 member countries.
Within the framework of this holiday, a creative Francophonie competition is held, designed to stimulate and develop the desire to learn French.
