Meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan
Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular Cabinet session via digital videoconferencing, during which drafts of a number of documents were considered and topical issues of state policy were discussed.
Turning to the agenda, the Esteemed President gave the floor to Mejlis chairwoman G.Mammedova, who informed about the current legislative activities of the national parliament, the measures taken to strengthen and develop the legal basis for the socio-economic transformations carried out in the country.
Cabinet Deputy Chairman H.Geldimyradov reported on the ongoing work to further improve the activities of "Turkmenstandartlary" Main State Service in accordance with the realities of the time. In particular, information was provided on the introduction of a digital system and advanced technologies into the structural divisions of the State Reference Center.
Then it was reported on the results of the participation of the Turkmen delegation in the UN conference held on March 5-8 in the city of Doha of the State of Qatar.
Cabinet Deputy Chairman A.Begliev reported on the preparations for the International Forum on Attracting Foreign Investments in the Oil and Gas Industry of Turkmenistan, which is scheduled to be held on April 26-27 this year in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
Then, Cabinet Deputy Chairman A.Yazmyradov reported on the large-scale work carried out within the framework of the state policy to ensure environmental well-being in the country, in particular, on preparations for the spring planting campaign.
Cabinet Deputy Chairman B.Annamammedov reported on the measures taken to create additional energy capacities in connection with the growing economic power of our country, the increase in electricity consumption and the constant growth in demand for Turkmen electricity in foreign markets. In this regard, a proposal was made to build a combined cycle power plant with a capacity of 1574 megawatts on the territory of Balkan velayat.
Then, Cabinet Deputy Chairman B.Atdaev reported on the preparations for the events dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the formation of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country.
Cabinet Deputy Chairwoman M.Mammedova reported on the organization of the international conference "Main directions and potential of tourism development in Turkmenistan", which will be held on March 20-22 this year in our country.
Cabinet Deputy Chairman N.Amannepesov reported on the work on staffing with specialists with professional secondary and higher education, as well as on further improvement of legislation in the field of education management.
Along with this, information was provided on the ongoing measures to expand mutually beneficial cooperation with international specialized structures.
Cabinet Deputy Chairman, Minister of Foreign Affairs R.Meredov reported on the work carried out to strengthen constructive cooperation with foreign partners in the field of security and in the legal sphere.
Then, the Cabinet Deputy Chairman, Minister of Foreign Affairs reported on the results of the working visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Tajikistan, undertaken on behalf of the head of state.
As part of their stay in Dushanbe, the delegation of our country was received by President Emomali Rahmon. During the meeting, the prospects for further development of traditionally friendly Turkmen-Tajik relations covering a wide range of areas were discussed.
Summing up the meeting, the Esteemed President stressed that today a number of topical issues were considered, documents aimed at further development of the national economy sectors were adopted.
Concluding the Cabinet session by means of digital videoconferencing, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants sound health, family well-being and great success in their work for the further prosperity of the sovereign Homeland.
