Residents of Turkmenistan can take part in the Mahmud Kashgarli Short Story Contest
The reception of applications for the VII International Short Story Contest named after Mahmud Kashgarli, which is organized by the Union of Writers of Eurasia together with the TURKSOY organization and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, has started.
This year's contest is timed to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey and the 30th anniversary of TURKSOY. The creative competition is held in cooperation with Writers' Unions and literary publications of representatives of all Turkic-speaking countries of the world.
Participants can submit to the contest a story consisting of at least a thousand and a maximum of 10 thousand words on a free topic. The works must not have been previously published or participate in other competitions. They should be sent by September 15, 2023 to the email address kmahmut2023@gmail.com .
The award ceremony will take place on December 4, 2023. They will receive cash prizes.
Mahmud Kashgarli is one of the outstanding Turkologists of all time, he is recognized as the founder of scientific Turkology. Kashgarli owns the "Dictionary of Turkic Languages", which is a major contribution to the development of world culture.
