Partnership for food security in the face of climate change

Within the framework of the international conference "Partnership in the field of food security in the context of climate change", a meeting of representatives of major governments of Central Asia was held at the Yyldyz Hotel.
In the meeting, held in a hybrid format, attended by the FAO Subregional Coordinator for Central Asia, FAO Deputy Director General, Regional Representative of the Organization for Europe and Central Asia, the address of the relevant ministries of Turkmenistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the representative Islamic Republic of Iran.
The current event related to the promotion of international cooperation in the food sector. Today, the countries of the region are faced with a serious task - to make the agro-industrial complex more productive and able to draw attention to the impact and emergence of new conditions and challenges.
One of the important elements in strengthening food security, including the active impact on the environment of production, was found to be the possibility of using additional food delivery chains.
It is also noteworthy that the influence of climate on the food factor is bilateral. Thus, an increase in air temperature and a change in visible natural conditions affect the environment with agricultural crops. At the same time, environmentally friendly "green" technologies are expected to appear in agricultural production in order to identify its negative impact on the environment, and, in particular, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
This was followed by the signing of a number of documents between the Ministry of Agricultural Development and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan and the selected special structure of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, which are a consequence of the use of a large amount of land cadastre and management of natural resources in arid and saline agricultural lands.
