The Day of Italian Design will be celebrated in Ashgabat on March 9
The Italian Design Day will be held next week, on Thursday, March 9, in Ashgabat and in more than 100 countries around the world. In short, wherever there are diplomatic and consular institutions of Italy, this event will be held, organized for the first time in 2017 to promote Italian projects and design abroad, with the participation of leading names in this sector.
In this context, 97 of the most famous and qualified specialists, researchers, entrepreneurs, and profile journalists will share their experience and knowledge with the public, identifying distinctive and original features that make Italian design valuable and recognized on all continents. All events will open with an introductory video created by Azzurro studio specifically for the Italian Design Day 2023, and will end with a video invitation to the next Salone del Mobile.
Last year's edition of the Italian Design Day was dedicated to the theme of Re-Generation, that is, design and new technologies for a sustainable future. In 2023, the campaign focuses on quality as an "igniting" idea, quality that illuminates and enlightens, being the root factor of sustainable and responsible development. Therefore, the motto of the event is "Design energy for people and the environment".
This subtle and strategic theme is intended to emphasize the mission of Italian design as an integrated systemic action capable of building strong and long-term relationships necessary for competition in the current and increasingly complex geopolitical scenario. Quality, thus, becomes the main element of the production process, around which innovative ideas are developed and developed that can combine functionality and well-being, both for people and for the environment.
Matteo Urbinati, an expert in the field of industrial design, high-quality – meaning skillful - work with various natural materials, was announced as the speaker of the Italian Design Day 2023 in Ashgabat.
