The first tender for domestically produced oil was held in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Mining and Petroleum in the Taliban government said.

According to the report, the sale of 27,000 tons of crude oil took place on Tuesday at the agency's headquarters in the presence of Mining and Petroleum Minister Shahabuddin Delaware and other officials.

In his opening speech at the opening ceremony, the minister expressed pride in the fact that Afghan companies are participating in the tender, as well as in the fact that the entire oil refining process will take place inside the country. He added that this is a significant step towards energy self-sufficiency and revenue generation for the country.

The ministry emphasized that they would work to create a transparent and accountable process for the extraction and sale of natural resources
