Kazakhstan plans to sign an agreement with China on the development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Route (TCTR). These issues were discussed at a meeting in the government chaired by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, the press service of the Government of Kazakhstan reports.

The delivery time of goods from China to the Black Sea ports by TCTR has already decreased from 38-50 days to 19-23 days, and by the end of that year it should reach 14-18 days. The total transit time of goods on the Kazakhstan section of the TCTR has halved compared to last year: from 12 to 6 days.

It is also planned to create a container hub in the port of Aktau, upgrade the fleet of transshipment equipment and restore oil loading berths, and build a new berth in the port of Kuryk, launch multifunctional and grain terminals.

By 2030, 10 oil barges, 8 ferries, 6 tankers and a container ship are planned to be launched on Martrut.
