Turkmen weightlifters will perform at the Junior World Championship in Albania


Turkmenistan's youth weightlifting team will take part in the Youth World Championship among athletes under 17 years old, which will be held from March 25 to April 1 in Durres (Albania).
The Turkmen delegation cosists of 13 people, including 9 athletes.
The men 's team was formed by: Nurbek Azamatov (weight category up to 49 kg), Perhat Bahtiyarov (up to 61 kg), Didarbek Jumabayev (up to 67 kg) and Suleiman Jafarov (up to 96 kg).
In the women's part of the competition, Turkmenistan will be represented by: Shebnam Kerimbayeva (up to 40 kg), Ogulshat Amanova (up to 45 kg), Medina Amanova (up to 59 kg), Gulyalek Kakamyradova (up to 64 kg) and Anamjan Rustamova (up to 81 kg).
Nurbek Azamatov (weight category up to 49 kg) and Shebnam Kerimbayeva (up to 40 kg) will be the first Turkmen weightlifters to enter the Albanian platform.
Athletes from Turkmenistan will perform at the world Championship under the leadership of Gurbandurdy Amanov and Ahmed Saryev.
The Junior World Weightlifting Championship is an annual competition held under the auspices of the IWF. The current tournament will bring together over three hundred weightlifters from 61 countries aged 13 to 17 years, who will contest medals in 20 weight categories.
