85 new taxis have started operating in Turkmenabat


The Lebapawtoulag production association of the city of Turkmenabat received 85 new taxis. 45 of them are Toyota Corolla cars, and the other 40 are Hyundai Elantra. This is reported by the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
The new passenger taxis are comfortable and economical, which makes them suitable for passenger service in urban conditions. Updating the taxi company will increase the volume of passenger traffic and residents will have new opportunities to get to the right place comfortably.
The vehicles were handed over to the Lebapawtoulag association in a solemn atmosphere, and on the same day the taxis started working in the city.
As previously reported, the Turkmenawtoulaglary agency signed a contract for $115 million with the Japanese Sumitomo Corporation for the supply of 2,110 cars to the country — 780 taxis and 1,330 buses.
