Grand slam in Tashkent: judo tournament starts in Uzbekistan

The best judokas of the planet again collect the full stands of the Yunusabad sports complex. Five continents, 49 countries, 364 athletes and $154,000 in prize money. At the Grand Slam, valuable rating points will also be played for selection for the games in Paris.
Major judo tournaments began to be held in Uzbekistan ten years ago. Today, there are 400 sections in the country, in which more than 20 thousand athletes are engaged. And in the world ranking today it is higher than the rest - Georgia is in sixth place.
