About 20 million people, who make up about 40% of the population of Argentina, were left without electricity due to a fire that affected power lines, the La Nacion newspaper reports.
Several provinces of Argentina and part of the capital region were left without electricity. For safety reasons, the operation of services at the Atucha I NPP has been stopped.
To date, there is a strong heat wave in Argentina, which has been going on for about a week. The temperature in many regions reaches +35 degrees Celsius.
