The volume of lending to the private sector of Turkmenistan increased by more than a quarter


The volume of lending to the private sector in Turkmenistan increased by 28.2% in 2022, which indicates the accelerated liberalization of the national economy and its compliance with the principles and rules of market relations.
At the same time, the volume of mortgage loans issued increased by 9.4%, and loans to agricultural producers — by 1.2 times. Such data is cited by Professor Bayramdurdy Tayharov of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management in a commentary for the Turkmenistan newspaper.
In total, 37.4 billion manats are planned to be invested in the country's economy this year, 20.8 of which will go to the construction of industrial facilities (55.6%), 16.6 billion manats (44.4%) for social infrastructure, thus providing the labor market with 3 thousand new jobs.
