For the first time in the history of Romania, a robot with artificial intelligence named ION has become an honorary adviser to Nicolae Chuca, the country's prime minister. The official introduced his "employee" at a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday. He will deal with issues of public opinion, according to RIA Novosti.
The assistant robot will help Romanian citizens who are ready to inform the country's authorities about their problems, wishes and suggestions in real time. The ION project is a system that uses artificial intelligence to quickly and automatically capture the views and opinions of Romanians based on information available in the public space.
The robot was created by Romanian researchers and educators and is the first government advisor with artificial intelligence, Chuque said.
