The birthday of Gurbannazar Ezizov was celebrated at the Oguz han University
The Oguz han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan (ETUT) hosted a literary evening dedicated to the life and work of the talented Turkmen poet Gurbannazar Ezizov, according to a press release of the university.
The event was timed to the poet's birthday, which is celebrated on the first day of spring.
Teachers and students of the university told about the creative heritage of Gurbannazar Ezizov. Along with expressive reading, students of the educational institution were presented stage productions based on the poet's poems.
On the birthday of the master of the word, before the start of the educational process, information about his life and work was transmitted in English from all radio nodes at the university, one of his most famous poems was performed — Maňa seniň gözleriňden gitme ýok in Turkmen and English. And in between classes, fans of Ezizov's work performed his Türkmen sährasy.
Gurbannazar Ezizov is one of the brightest Turkmen poets of the twentieth century. During his short life, the poet was able not only to loudly declare himself, but also to firmly enter the history of literature and forever remain in the memory of the people.
