The 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan was celebrated in Karakalpakstan
A solemn event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy, was held in the city of Nukus of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. This is reported in the press release of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan.
The event was held with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Rejepbay Nurazizov, deputies of the Supreme Council of the Republic, employees of local ministries and departments, as well as representatives of cultural centers of foreign countries, journalists.
The speakers noted the fruitful nature of the Turkmen-Uzbek relations, the positive results achieved over 30 years and pointed to the huge potential for their development in the future.
The guests were greeted by an exhibition organized by cultural centers and introducing the history, spiritual and cultural heritage of the peoples of various countries.
Artists of the Karakalpak State Academic Musical Theater named after Berdakh performed poems from the works of Magtymguly Pyragy, Alisher Navoi and Berdakh in their native languages.
Within the framework of the event, songs in Turkmen, Uzbek, Karakalpak and other languages were also performed, and national dances were performed.
