Volleyball: Europe and Asia launch a project for coaches
The European Volleyball Confederation (CEV), as part of extensive work to develop this sport at all levels, has launched a project for the cooperation between European coaches and their colleagues of Asia.
The European (headquarters in Luxembourg) and the Asian (headquarters in Bangkok) Volleyball Confederations, as well as the national federations of Hungary and Slovenia will participate in this project, funded by the EU Mobility and Exchange Fund.
For the first time, the two confederations are joining efforts to carry out such an ambitious project, which will ultimately improve the professional qualifications of volleyball coaches, expand their knowledge, as well as strengthen continental cooperation in this area. Coaches will have an opportunity to share experiences, and get the necessary training materials.
The project starts in January 2020 and ends in December 2021.
It is the second time that the European Volleyball Confederation initiative is financed by the EU. Previously, the organization successfully completed a project “Play volleyball, develop with it” among schoolchildren.
