Marine Merchant Fleet of Turkmenistan announced new discounts from March 1
JSC "Marine Merchant Fleet" of Turkmenistan announced new discounts on the transportation of vehicles on the Turkmenbashi – Baku (Alat) – Turkmenbashi line, starting from March 1.
The cost of transportation in one direction, taking into account the discount, will be US $ 1,000, and when paying in both directions, the cost of transportation will be US $1,600. The new measure is aimed at developing the transit and transport potential of Turkmenistan and increasing the volume of cargo turnover across the Caspian Sea.
At the moment, JSC "Marine Merchant Fleet" of Turkmenistan has two Ro-Pax ferries — "Bagtyyar" and "Berkarar". Ferries of this type are vessels that combine the possibilities of transporting both trucks and passengers. Over the past 2022, the JSC transported about 22 thousand units of vehicles.
Since November 7, 2022, drivers of foreign and Turkmen cargo vehicles have been allowed to enter, exit and transit through the territory of Turkmenistan.
