Gazprom CEO Miller held talks in Iran


On February 28, Gazprom's delegation headed by Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Management Board, paid a working visit to Iran.
During his visit to Tehran, Miller met with First Vice President of Iran Mohammad Mohber, Minister of Oil, Chairman of the Board of Directors of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Javad Oudzhi, as well as with Deputy Oil Minister, NIOC Executive Director Mohsen Khojastemehr, according to the website of the Russian gas company.
The meetings discussed areas of cooperation in the energy sector in the development of the Memorandum signed between Gazprom and NIOC in 2022.
In July 2022, Gazprom PJSC and National Iranian Oil Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strategic cooperation. The document provides for an analysis of the possibilities of interaction, in particular, in the following areas: the development of Iran's gas and oil fields, the implementation of exchange operations with natural gas and petroleum products, the implementation of large-tonnage and low-tonnage LNG projects, the construction of main gas pipelines, scientific, technical and technological cooperation.
Gazprom's Representative Office has been operating in Iran since 2002.
