The Moscow International House of Nationalities hosted the International scientific-practical conference “Music in the synthesis of arts and sciences: history and modernity”. The scientific forum was organized as part of the V Moscow International Festival of Arts “Sounds of Dutar” named after Nury Halmamedov. Music has special place among other kinds of art. If the language of painting is not always understood, while the language of poetry is limited to a word, then music does not need a language – it reaches the very heart of a person and reveals the most secret parts of it, something that sometimes cannot be expressed in words. At different periods in the history of humankind, music was a kind of tuning fork of the era, reflecting the state of consciousness of a nation of a country. In the modern world of information technologies, music has become a subject of special attention. Studies of musical creativity are carried out in various fields of natural sciences, physics, neurolinguistics, pedagogy, psychology and others. The theme of the conference in Moscow was also broad: it included various spheres of human activity, both in art and in science, aspects of the influence of music on society, the relationship of classical and modern music, etc. The conference was attended by well-known scientists, historians, musicologists, writers, filmmakers, art critics, music exoerts and public figures. Among them are Mamed Guseynov, composer, pianist and art director of the Moscow International Festival of Arts “Sounds of Dutar” named after Nury Halmamedov, Elena Osipova, PhD in art history, associate professor of the Department of Theory of Music of the Turkmen National Conservatory, Lora Stepanskaya, director, scriptwriter, Honored Artist of Turkmenistan, Gulnabat Tekayeva, head of the Moscow Society of Turkmen Culture. Among the conference speakers, there is Nadejda Dubova, well-known Russian anthropologist, archaeologist, PhD in biological sciences, Doctor of historical sciences, head of the ethnic ecology sector of the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, head of the Russian-Turkmen archaeological expedition at Margiana. Under the direct supervision of Nadejda Dubova, who recently returned to Moscow from Turkmenistan, the exhibition “The Brilliant Margiana” is being prepared. The exhibition is dedicated to the unique kingdom of the Bronze Age, which was discovered on the territory of our country. It will feature anthropological reconstructions of residents of that era, photographs of archaeological excavations in Turkmenistan and Afghanistan, as well as materials on the activity of restorers on unique mosaics found in the capital city of Margiana – Gonur-depe and stored in museums of Turkmenistan. The exhibition will be held at the Moscow Museum of the East.
