Chairwoman of Mejlis of Turkmenistan received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guatemala.


On February 27th, on the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Chairwoman of the Mejlis accepted the credentials of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guatemala, Hairo David Estrada Barrios.
The head of the National Parliament congratulated the ambassador on behalf of the Turkmen leader on his appointment to the important position and wished him success in strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries and their peoples. Expressing his happiness for the good wishes, the authorized representative of Guatemala expressed his country's President Alejandro Jammattei's warm greetings to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and his wishes for happiness and new successes in the path of great reforms to the entire Turkmen people.
During the meeting, the diplomat was introduced to the priorities of Turkmenistan's peace-loving foreign policy. The Ambassador of Guatemala was also introduced to the huge social reforms taking place in the country, as well as to the national and international projects of special significance implemented in various fields with foreign partners. During the discussion of opportunities to establish cooperation in various future fields, it was confirmed that Turkmenistan and Guatemala are committed to effective cooperation in a bilateral and multilateral manner, including in the direction of major international organizations and authoritative bodies. It was also noted that it is important to establish parliamentary relations.
Hairo David Estrada Barrios expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality shown in the Turkmen land and assured that as ambassador he will spare no effort to develop bilateral cooperation in accordance with common interests.
