On February 27th, the Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting by means of digital video conferencing.
Hakims reported on the implementation of seasonal agricultural works in the fields of the velayat, as well as on the implementation of the tasks arising from the national program of the President of Turkmenistan on reforming the living conditions of the population of villages, towns, cities in etraps and etrap centers for the period up to 2028. For this year's cotton harvest, the work of leveling and raking of cotton fields is continuing, and livestock farms of the velayat are preparing for the lambing season. Cultivation of potato, onion and other vegetable and garden crops continues in the velayat. Also, appropriate work is carried out to prepare the plots of the gardens to be planted in the spring planting season.
The khyakims also reported on the implementation of the planned construction works in the velayat in accordance with the 2022-2028 socio-economic development program of the country and the national program to change the living conditions of the population of villages, towns, cities in etraps and etrap centers.
Then Cabinet Deputy Chairman Ýazmyradow reported on the state of agricultural work in the regions of the country. As mentioned, maintenance work is being carried out in the wheat fields of the velayats. In order to lay the basis for the cotton crop in the country, the preparation of cotton fields for the planting season, especially plowing and leveling, is ongoing in the velayats. Along with these works, the agricultural machinery and tools to be used during the planting season, as well as the preparation of the seeds for the season, are being carried out in order to carry out the cotton planting within the prescribed agrotechnical terms and in accordance with the demand. Appropriate measures are being implemented to prepare the plots of other vegetable and agricultural crops that are planned to be planted, the garden seedlings to be planted in the spring planting season in the velayats of the country and Ashgabat. Also, the Vice-Premier said that appropriate activities are being carried out in livestock farms of the velayats in order to hold the lambing season in accordance with the demand and to improve the water supply in the country.
Listening to the report, the Esteemed President pointed out that the important season in agriculture is approaching and noted that it is an important requirement to carry out the agricultural work, especially in the wheat fields, in accordance with the norms of agrotechnics. At the same time, the Turkmen leader instructed the vice-premier to control the complete preparation of the fields to be planted with cotton and other crops for the coming season.
The Turkmen leader addressed to Cabinet Deputy Chairman in charge of the agro industrial complex and khyakims of the velayats, to prepare the seedlings of shady, fruit orchards and grapes to be planted in the spring planting season in the country, as well as the areas where they will be planted, and to prepare the areas where cotton will be planted for this year's harvest and gave relevant instructions in terms of monitoring the maintenance work in the wheat fields as well as the work on the organized lambing season in the livestock farms of the velayats.
Summarizing the working meeting held by means of digital video conferencing, the Esteemed President wished the participants sound health, prosperity of our country, and great success in their large-scale work aimed at ensuring the well-being of our people.
