Turkmen judoka won bronze at the European Open Championship in Poland


The judoka of the national team of Turkmenistan Hakberdy Jumayev won a bronze medal at the European Open Judo Championship in the weight category up to 60 kg, which was held on February 25-26 in Warsaw (Poland).
In the preliminary stage of the tournament, the Turkmen judoka defeated Mutaz Khavjah (Saudi Arabia), Bart Veling (Netherlands), Nurlavlet Amankosov (Kazakhstan).
At the semi-final stage, Hakberdy Jumaev was defeated by Frenchman Jean Enzo. In the fight for the third place, the Turkmen judoka was stronger than Nazar Viskov from Ukraine. Another winner of the bronze medal was the representative of Kazakhstan Sherzod Davlatov.
The winner in this weight category was Frenchman Romain Valadier Picard, who defeated compatriot Jean Enzo in the final fight.
In September 2022 , Hakberdy Jumaev won a gold medal at the European Open Championship in Oberwart, Austria, in the weight category up to 60 kg .
