The Chinese company Jiangxi LDK Solar Hi-Tech Co Ltd plans to build a large plant for the production of solar panels in the Fergana region of Uzbekistan. The total cost of the plant will be $75 million, Renewables Now reports, citing a statement from the administration of the Fergana region.

All the necessary equipment will be imported from China. It is planned to expand this project in the future. The location of the plant has not been determined yet.

Earlier, China expressed interest in building a solar power plant in Uzbekistan.
