Turkmen entrepreneur exports up to 100 tons of tomatoes to Russia
Tomatoes grown in the Dashoguz region are sent to the Russian market on a monthly basis by “Uly Höwes”. From 80 to 100 tons of delicious tomatoes are exported, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan reports.
The company's greenhouse, equipped with advanced European equipment, is located in the north of the country - in the Shavat district of the Dashoguz region. Tomatoes of the "Altess" variety are grown here. Most of the work carried out in the greenhouse is automated and increases production efficiency. About 40 specialists work in the greenhouse.
It should be noted that last year Turkmenistan exported 104,000 tons of tomatoes to foreign countries. In 2021, the country entered the top four largest suppliers of tomatoes to Russia and the main exporter of this agricultural product to Tajikistan.
