Ashgabat to host the championship of Turkmenistan on breaking
On Sunday, February 26, the championship of Turkmenistan on breaking, organized by the Federation of Sports Dances of the country, will be held at the capital's stadium "Kopetdag".
The championship will bring together over fifty dancers from all over the country and from Ashgabat. According to the regulations, tournament participants can compete regardless of age restrictions.
As ORIENT was informed in the Sports Dance Federation of Turkmenistan, the championship will be a preliminary stage in the formation of the country's breaking team to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.
In 2019, the International Olympic Committee approved the inclusion of breakdancing in the 2024 Olympics. The selection period for the Games will end on July 8, 2024 - 16 days before the start of the Olympic Games.
The qualifying stage, after which the best dancers will receive quotas for the Olympic Games, will be held in September 2023.
Returning to the domestic championship, it is worth adding that in addition to the main awards, the winners and prize-winners will receive cash rewards
