A new French fund will finance the development of solar energy in Africa

The new French investment fund GREEN INVEST with $92.63 million will finance the production of solar energy in West and Central Africa, Reuters reports, citing a statement by the manager of the French fund.
The Fund will finance grid and autonomous solar power plants for small and medium-sized commercial and industrial consumers of the continent.
The project will provide direct asset-based loans to regional developers and local industrial companies for the development of solar infrastructure. The fund also offers financing in local currency.
