On February 24, the esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers through the digital systems. Moving on to the agenda of the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the esteemed President addressed the Chairwoman of the Mejlis, G. Mammedova. Mammedova gave information about the work of the National Parliament on improving the legislation of the country.
The head of the parliament once again heartily congratulated the esteemed President on the successful completion of his official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain and the awarding of the first class order of Bahrain, the first class order named after Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa. Currently, in accordance with the amendments to the Constitution of Turkmenistan and international practice, the proposals made by the relevant ministries and departmental management bodies have been analyzed, and the draft Law “On the Mejlis of Turkmenistan” is being prepared, as well as work on improving the existing laws based on the new requirements of the time.
Then the esteemed President addressed deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov. The Vice-Premier reported on the results of activities carried out in order to implement the provisions of the relevant Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan. According to that Decision, monetary gifts are given to the women of the country on behalf of the Turkmen leader every year on the occasion of the International Women’s Day. In this regard, a report was made on the preparation of a draft of a special order.
Then the deputy chairman of the cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov reported on the seasonal agricultural work being carried out in the regions of the country and preparations for spring planting. The draft resolution “On the placement of agricultural crops and production of products by velayats in 2023” was submitted for consideration to the head of the state.
Then deputy chairwoman of the Cabinet of ministers M. Mammedova reported on the main events to be held in March of this year and the procedure for opening and putting into use the buildings for socio-cultural purposes. Listening to the report, the esteemed President emphasized the need to intensify efforts to promote the national culture and the rich spiritual heritage of the Turkmen people. Turning to the issue of preparing for the festival and other events to be held in the first month of spring, the Head of the state stressed the importance of organizing them in a highly organized manner and gave instructions to the vice-premier in this regard.
