Turkmen weightlifters – bronze medalists of the Asian Championship in Democratic People’s Republic of Korea

From 18 to 28 October, the strongest young athletes of Asia gathered in Pyongyang for the Asian Weightlifting Championship among juniors and young men. Three bronze medals of the championship were won by Turkmen athletes.
Shageldi Bairamgeldiev, who lifted 123 kg in the first exercise and 280 kg in total, became the bronze medalist in the snatch and in the overall standings in the weight category of 81 kg.
Bektimur Raimov (67 kg) and Rustem Annaberdyev (84 kg) won the small bronze medals in the snatch.
Asian Weightlifting Championship among juniors and young men traditionally determines who will soon join the “adult” team and will enter the list of contenders for even more significant awards.
