Rescuers pull not only people, but also animals out from under the ruins of destroyed buildings in Turkey. Since the beginning of the search operation, hundreds of our younger brothers - cats, dogs, birds, parrots – have been brought alive to the surface from under the wreckage. Even aquarium fish were saved. It often turns out that their owners died.

They are being given first aid at emergency points that have appeared in four districts. As soon as they are treated, they will be sent by car to veterinary clinics that are located in large cities, where they will be under the supervision of specialists.

In Turkey, animals are treated very tenderly - there are feeders and drinkers for stray dogs and cats on the streets, and most residents of the country have pets. I must say that in these difficult days for the country, not only people, but also dogs are working on the ruins. Four-legged rescuers helped pull hundreds of injured adults and children from the wreckage, sometimes risking their lives. A common misfortune brought people and animals together, witnesses of the tragedy say.
