Turkmenistan is considering media partnership with Al Jazeera


The International Information Center (IIC) of Turkmenistan, established in the structure of the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography, is considering the possibility of interaction with the leading Arab TV channel Al Jazeera.
Prospects for cooperation at the level of information and materials exchange were discussed at a video meeting of representatives of the IIC of Turkmenistan with Ihtisham Nibatulakh, International Communications Manager of Al Jazeera Aljazeera Media Network.
In particular, they discussed the preparation and broadcast on the Qatari TV channel, which has an extensive Middle Eastern audience, of various programs, documentaries and other stories about Turkmenistan, important events taking place in the country, etc.
During the meeting, the Turkmen side informed the representative of Al Jazeera about the tasks of the IIC, the key direction of which is to establish business and friendly relations with foreign colleagues, exchange experience, promote national interests on the world information market, create conditions for the development of an effective media dialogue on the formation of an international media picture of the day.
Al Jazeera Media Network is a Qatari international state-owned media conglomerate headquartered in Doha. It is the parent company of the Arabic news channel Al Jazeera and other structures. It has 70 bureaus worldwide and is available in more than 150 countries.
