The bill on free re-vocational training for orphans and children without parental care was adopted by State Duma deputies in the first reading. This also includes orphans with disabilities.

The law, which will come into force on January 1, 2024, will allow them to receive an additional diploma in the profession of a worker or employee, according to information published on the website of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

“During the training, orphans and children with disabilities will receive monthly scholarships from the regional budget and once a year - an allowance for the purchase of educational literature and stationery,” State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin explained.

After the adoption of the law, this vulnerable category of children will have more opportunities to adapt to changes in the labor market, find interesting work and fulfill themselves,” the deputy noted.
