Turkmenistan exported 43% more goods in 2022 than in the previous year


The President of Turkmenistan, during an expanded meeting of the government, summing up the development of the national economic complex over the past year, noted that GDP growth amounted to 6.2%. The highest performance was achieved in the trade sector - 8.9%, in industry – 6.3% and in agriculture – 5.7%.
In 2022, an increase in exports of goods was recorded by 43.6% compared to the previous year, and the volume of investments – by 14.2%.
During the period under review, 76 industrial and social facilities were opened in Turkmenistan, which allowed to increase jobs by 4 thousand units, and the total area of commissioned housing exceeded the mark of one and a half million square meters.
The skill of Turkmen farmers has become a guarantor of food security in the domestic market, and also allowed the export of surplus products.
Thanks to this, despite the unstable nature of the global economy, inflation was kept within the budget limits.
