Turkmenistan plans to raise GDP growth to 6.5 in 2023%


President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the Program of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan for 2023, which was presented at an expanded meeting of the country's Cabinet of Ministers on Friday.
The program is aimed at achieving 6.5% GDP growth this year, sustainable development of national economy sectors and regions of Turkmenistan.
The document defines the expected macroeconomic indicators, production plans and plans to create about 3,000 new jobs at new enterprises.
The volume of Turkmenistan's foreign trade in 2023 is planned to increase to 19.4 billion US dollars.
The program pays special attention to the development of small and medium-sized businesses. In this context, the task is to raise the share of the private sector in GDP (excluding the fuel and energy complex) to 71.3%.
