Istanbul Stock Exchange resumed operations after a week-long break

The Istanbul Stock Exchange (Borsa Istanbul) resumed its work on Wednesday after a week-long break caused by earthquakes, a source at the exchange told RIA Novosti.
The Istanbul Exchange temporarily suspended trading on February 8, then the closure was extended until the evening of February 14, while transactions made on the closing day were canceled.
Earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 occurred on February 6 with an interval of 9 hours in the province of Kahramanmaras in southeastern Turkey. According to the latest data, more than 35 thousand people died as a result of the disaster, more than 105 thousand were injured.
