Astrakhan University and a number of Turkmen universities are preparing interuniversity agreements for signing


Astrakhan State University named after V. N. Tatishchev (ASU) and a number of Turkmen universities have prepared draft documents on cooperation. In the near future, ASU will consolidate interuniversity relations with the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S. A. Niyazov, the International University of Humanities and Development of Turkmenistan, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the press service of ASU reports.
Astrakhan University has established itself in Turkmenistan as an active partner in recent years and cooperates with educational and scientific organizations of the country. The University regularly holds major socio-cultural events together with the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo, the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan), aimed at developing and strengthening Turkmen-Russian friendly ties.
Already today, ASU has in its portfolio a number of agreements regulating the cooperation of the university with scientific and educational organizations of the partner country in the economic and humanitarian spheres. We are talking about an agreement concluded in 2019 with the Joint Turkmen-Russian Secondary School named after A. S. Pushkin, within the framework of which projects in the field of education are being implemented.
We are also talking about an agreement between ASU and Magtymguly Turkmen State University, which was signed in 2022. Universities have already developed a joint roadmap, which provides for the implementation of educational, scientific and cultural projects. In addition, Astrakhan University cooperates with TSU within the framework of the activities of the Commission on Science, Research and Technology of the Association of State Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian countries.
It should be noted that currently more than 600 Turkmen students study at Astrakhan University, and over 900 students have graduated from the university over the past three years.
