Turkmen liquefied gas is distributed free of charge among residents of Karakalpakstan


Uzbekistan has started distributing liquefied natural gas supplied from Turkmenistan to the poor free of charge. This was reported by "Gazeta.uz" with reference to the press service of the company "Hududgaztaminot".
Railway cars with liquefied gas have already arrived in Uzbekistan. Fuel is distributed among low-income residents of Karakalpakstan.

According to the company's press service, Turkmenistan has sent 2,000 tons of liquefied gas. 1000 tons are planned to be distributed among the residents of Karakalpakstan, another 1000 tons — Khorezm region.
The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan previously reported that liquefied gas will be distributed free of charge among needy families.

In early February, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed an order on the gratuitous transfer of liquefied gas to Uzbekistan.
On February 8, the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, the Uzbek side sent 20 Volkswagen Caddy ambulances to Ashgabat.
