An international conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly will be held in Yerevan
The agreement on holding the international scientific and practical conference "Magtymguly Pyragy - in the history of world culture" in Yerevan was reached during the meeting of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia Muhametgeldi Ayazov with the Vice-Rector of Yerevan State University Mikael Hovhannisyan. This is reported on the diplomatic mission's Instagram page.
The event in honor of the 300th anniversary of the great poet will be organized jointly with the Magtymguly Turkmen State University within the framework of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Armenia.
As the participants of the meeting noted, the faculty of Yerevan State University have repeatedly visited Turkmenistan, read online lectures for Turkmen students. As part of attracting foreign students, the university also provides scholarships for study.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the Department of International Cooperation of YSU Alexander Makarov.
Yerevan State University, founded in 1919, is the largest and most prestigious university in the country. It is one of the top thousand most prestigious universities in the world.
