Trading on SCRMET: technical iodine for $10 million was sold for export
On Friday, February 17, a major deal for the export of technical iodine was made at the auction of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, ORIENT correspondent reports.
A businessman from the UAE purchased a total of 175 tons of technical grade "A" iodine for a total of $10.9 million. The cost of each ton of products was estimated at $62.5 thousand.
The products, which are widely used in the production of petroleum products, medicines and chemical reagents, were produced by the enterprise of the "Turkmenhimiya" state concern. Trades in the agriculture, industry and communications sections, as well as the shopping complex, begin from Mon.-Fri. 16:00, Sat. 11:30. Stock trades in the oil and gas sector are held from Mon.-Fri. 16:30, Sat. 12:00.
