Belarus is expected to see an increase in the flow of foreign tourists in 2023, BelTA reports with reference to Ekaterina Nikitina, Deputy Head of the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus.

"We have high hopes for an increase in the flow of tourists, since the agreement with the Russian Federation on mutual recognition of visas was ratified," Nikitina said, noting that with the abolition of various covid restrictions, the flow of tourists from the People's Republic of China should also increase.

Comfortable logistics chains are being formed in the country due to the opening of new railway and air routes.

According to Nikitina, a positive dynamic is also expected for domestic tourism. This year Belarus will host the II Games of the CIS countries, which will be held in 11 small towns of the republic. In this regard, new options for tourist routes and accommodation for foreign guests are being worked out.
