Azerbaijan plans to increase gas supplies to Europe via the Southern Gas Corridor

Azerbaijan plans to expand the Southern Gas Corridor to increase gas supplies to EU countries. This was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the round table "Pipeline dreams: Energy security of the future", held within the framework of the Munich Security Conference, APA news agency reports.
He noted that by 2027, the transportation of Azerbaijani gas through the Trans—Adriatic pipeline is planned to increase from the current 11 billion cubic meters to 20 billion, and through the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline - from 16 billion cubic meters to 32 billion.
Aliyev also stressed that renewable energy plays a special role in the development of relations between Azerbaijan and European countries. Azerbaijan has already implemented a number of projects in this direction and signed documents related to the production of electricity up to 25 gigawatts.
