The President of Turkmenistan received the head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy
On February 21st, Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Natalia Germany, who is completing her work as the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Central Asia, the head of the Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia.
As mentioned, Turkmenistan, being a country that has twice recognized the legal status of permanent neutrality by the member states of the United Nations, takes an active role in the international space and has been cooperating effectively with the United Nations and its specialized structures for many years.
Currently, this cooperation is carried out in a wide range of areas, including ensuring peace and security, solving sustainable energy, transport, economic, social, humanitarian and environmental problems, and achieving sustainable development goals.
It was particularly noted that Turkmenistan actively supports the work and initiatives of the regional center, in particular, initiatives to promote political, diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation with the countries of the region.
At the end of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the Head of the United Nations Regional Center expressed their best wishes to each other and expressed confidence that the traditional cooperation will be successfully developed in the future.
