In the Organizing committee of Tokyo-2020 there will be held a meeting with the Turkmen delegation
Within the framework of the visit of the Turkmen delegation to the Country of a rising sun the minister of sports and the youth policy of Turkmenistan will meet representatives of the National Olympic committee of Japan and Organizing committee of Tokyo-2020.
The delegation has already familiarized with the course of the building of an Olympic village.
- Japanese advance the schedule, with which it surprises many foreign visitors - Minister Dayanch Gulgeldiev told.
Before the Olympic Games in Tokyo of 2020 77 days are left. Turkmen sportsmen strenuously prepare for such Olympic disciplines as track and field athletics, judo, swimming, boxing, free style wrestling and Greco-Roman weightlifting.
Earlier the Turkmen party entered into the agreement with the province of Tendo located in Yamagata Prefecture on creation of the training centre for the national team of Turkmenistan. In July the current year Turkmen judoists and athletes have already held the first training session together with Japanese sportsmen that helped them to adapt to the climate of Japan, and also to familiarize with sports objects.
As the minister has informed, Turkmenistan has carried out huge work with the International Federation of Karate-Do concerning inclusion of this sport in the program of the Olympic Games.
- We hope to receive a quota for the Olympic Games in karate-do. It will be for the first time, - the head of sports department of Turkmenistan told.
