The role of the Turkmen-Austrian society in the dialogue between Ashgabat and Vienna was appreciated by the Foreign Ministers of the two countries


The Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Austria appreciated the active work of the Turkmen-Austrian Society and its role in the cultural dialogue of the two countries during video talks on Thursday. The diplomats noted that with the participation of the Society, cross-cultural Days and performances of the joint symphony orchestra "Galkynysh" are regularly held in Ashgabat and Vienna. The Viennese balls in the Turkmen capital were also called illustrative examples of this interaction.
The fact that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Federal Minister of European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria Alexander Schallenberg paid attention to the activities of the Turkmen-Austrian during their meeting serves as an inspiring message for new creative projects under its auspices.
And not only creative. Presentations, round tables and business meetings of representatives of the business circles of Turkmenistan and Austria are held with the participation of the Company. Now on the agenda is the organization of the fifth Vienna Ball in Ashgabat, the performance of the Turkmen–Austrian orchestra "Galkynysh", new events between Austrian firms and their Turkmen partners, in the extensive topics of which such areas as construction and infrastructure, energy, "green" technologies, healthcare and medical industry, mechanical engineering, transport and logistics, agro-industrial complex and processing of agricultural products.
Of course, such mega-projects as the construction of a new administrative center of the Ahal region and Ashgabat City open up huge opportunities for cooperation. The list goes on…
2023 marks the 15th anniversary of the Austrian-Turkmen Society, the origins of which are the chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
