Iran has announced its desire to build oil processing plants in Turkmenistan


Iran is ready to build oil refineries in Turkmenistan, jointly develop oil and gas fields, as well as supply the country with equipment of competitive quality and at affordable prices.
This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Oil of Iran for Engineering, Research and Technology Vahidreza Zeydifard during a meeting of representatives of the oil and gas sector of Iran with representatives of the "Turkmengaz" state concern, "Turkmennebit" and "Turkmenhimiya" within the framework of the exhibition of Iranian goods in Ashgabat. The official said that more than 70% of the technologies that Iran uses in its oil and gas sector are produced inside the country, so the republic can become a supplier of equipment of its own production to Turkmenistan.
The Deputy Minister of Oil of Iran invited Turkmen specialists to visit the republic so that they could get acquainted with the possibilities of the Iranian oil industry. Following the meetings, representatives of oil and gas institutions agreed that the Turkmen side would provide their colleagues with lists of necessary equipment through diplomatic channels.
