Turkmenistan and Australia expect to hold a business forum


Turkmenistan and Australia plan to hold a business forum and political consultations between the two countries ' foreign ministries this year.
This was announced following a meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vep Hadjiev and the new Australian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Graeme Meehan Leslie, the website of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
The parties spoke in favor of facilitating contacts between companies and entrepreneurs of the two countries to get acquainted with the prospects of the markets and develop proposals for further cooperation. The diplomats also noted the potential of cooperation in the field of culture and science.
The newly appointed Ambassador is on a working visit to Turkmenistan. The residence of the head of the Australian diplomatic corps is located in Moscow.
