The National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan has sent a new batch of humanitarian aid to earthquake-stricken Turkey, according to the organization's website.
A truck with various types of warm clothes and hygiene supplies was sent to help children and their family members affected by the disaster, the report says.
At the same time, another thousand warm blankets, which were donated by citizens of Turkmenistan and employees of Turkish companies in the country, will be delivered by Turkish airlines to the affected areas of Turkey. This was announced on Twitter by the Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan Togan Oral.
Turkmenistan has already sent several shipments of humanitarian aid to the affected provinces of Turkey, including medicines, things for children , warm blankets and electric power generators.
The number of victims of the earthquake in Turkey exceeded 39.6 thousand people, the Minister of Internal Affairs Suleiman Soylu said on Friday on CNN Turk. More than 1.3 thousand victims are being treated in Istanbul hospitals, more than 7 thousand have already been discharged.
