On February 17th, the Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers through the digital system.
The Esteemed President went to the meeting's agenda and first spoke to Mejlis Chairwoman Mammedova. Mammedova gave information about the activities of the parliament in the field of further improvement of the legal base of the state, and the implementation of the tasks set for organizing important socio-political events.
The head of state emphasized the importance of further improving the legislative work of the Mejlis in order to successfully implement socio-economic programs and projects of national importance. In this regard, the Turkmen leader emphasized the need to thoroughly familiarize with the generally recognized international legal documents, to consider them in the national legislative practice along with the priorities of the state policy. The leader of nation touched on the issues of preparation for the elections of members of Mejlis, velayat, etrap, city khalk Maslahaty and mejlis, and emphasized the importance of strictly controlling all issues of this socio-political event, ensuring transparency and openness of elections. The Turkmen leader drew attention to the work carried out by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan to nominate women with many children, distinguished in labor and public affairs, to state awards and said that they should be held at a high organizational level.
Then the Esteemed President addressed Vice Premier Geldimyradov. The Vice Premier reported on the state of affairs in the sectors under his control. It was also said that the Ministry of Finance and Economy, together with the ministries, departmental administrations, and municipalities of the country, conducted analyzes on enterprises and facilities to be removed from state control and privatization.
Then Vice Premier Mammedova reported on the preparations for the celebration of International Women's Day. Listening to the report, the Esteemed President emphasized the importance of the wonderful spring holiday, which has become a symbol of deep respect for our beloved mothers, sisters and all women in our country. In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan said that our state will always take care of women who are highly respected in the country, all conditions will be created for them to live a happy and prosperous life, women's labor and rights will be comprehensively protected. The President said that it is important to hold all festive events at a high level of organization and to pay special attention to the participation of young people, and gave specific instructions to the Vice-Premier in this regard.
Then chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs Meredov, on behalf of all employees of the foreign policy agencies of the country, congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on the day of diplomatic staff of Turkmenistan, which is celebrated every year on February 18, and expressed his best wishes. Expressing sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for his comprehensive support to the work of the National Diplomatic Service, the Vice-Premier assured that the employees of the service will make every effort to successfully solve the important and responsible tasks set before them.
Commenting on the report, the President noted that his state attaches great importance to the development of a multifaceted competitive transport and communication system in the country, and it is important to widely introduce modern technologies to the national communication system based on international experience, and he gave specific instructions to the head of the agency in this regard. At the session of the Cabinet of Ministers, which was held via the digital network, a number of other important issues were discussed and relevant decisions were adopted.
